Competitiveness

From 1995 to 2005, a very small number of high school basketball players possessed the knowledge, skills, and athleticism to play in the NBA right after high school, this concept was often referred to as prep-to-pro. Nearly 40 aspiring high school players chose to go into the NBA rather than go to college. Kobe Bryant is one of those individuals. Although there were many draftees who were considered unsuccessful and some that earned varying levels of success, Kobe Bryant was one of the highest achieving prep-to-pro players (along with Kevin Garnett, Lebron James, Tracy McGrady, and others). Kobe Bryant tragically died on January 26, 2020. One characteristic that he was well-known for was his competitiveness. Through competitiveness, Bryant was credited with making himself a better basketball player, encouraging his teammates to work together, and forcing his opponents to raise their level of play. For this week's journal, investigate the sources about Kobe Bryant and compose a paragraph analyzing the positive and negative aspects of competitiveness.
